Differing Dates in Celebrating Mother's Day

While we are celebrating Mother's Day today, some countries like United Kingdom celebrates Mother's Day on different day. In UK, Mother's Day celebrations take place on the fourth Sunday in the month of Lent. Since the Lent days are not fixed, the date for Mothers Day changes every year. This year, Mothering Sunday in UK is march 2 while us in the Philippines and North America is May 11.

It doesn't matter actually what day of the year we give tribute to our dearest moms. As long as there are mothers, so is Mother's Day!

What does each letter of the word MOTHER stands for? Let's find out...

"M" is for the million things she gave me,

"O" means only that she's growing old,

"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,

"H" is for her heart of purest gold;

"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,

"R" means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell

"MOTHER,"

A word that means the world to me.

To my mom and to all the moms, to all grandmoms and great grandmoms, aunts and grand-aunts and great grand aunts, also to the expecting moms...Congratulations! Today is our day and we need to be spoiled!!!!
